Advisory board

A board whose members are genuinely committed is worth more than a page of portraits. Until the commitments are signed, this page stays empty, and says so.

Members

The board is being formed

No name is published yet, because no commitment has been formalised. We will not publish a member until they are genuinely committed, with a written scope and a term of office.

Showing a board with no real members, or with names cited without their agreement, weakens credibility instead of building it. On this market, that is the fastest signal that a platform doesn't stand behind what it claims.

The four profiles sought

The board validates no case and signs no verification. It is consulted on the rules, the wording published, and the limits of the service.

P1

Avian veterinarian

Profile: A practitioner treating falconry raptors, ideally connected to a specialised Gulf hospital or a leading European clinic.

Role: Judge what a health certificate actually attests, which validity periods make clinical sense, and which checks are administrative theatre.

P2

CITES-specialised lawyer

Profile: A practitioner of protected-species law who has handled real export and import cases, including litigation.

Role: Review the rules published in the Export Check, flag what has changed, and say when a claim on the site goes beyond what the law allows.

P3

Gulf falconer

Profile: A recognised practitioner in the UAE, Saudi Arabia or Qatar, familiar with auctions, clubs and buying practices.

Role: Say what actually matters to a buyer, what is judged by eye on a bird, and what information a listing needs to be taken seriously.

P4

Recognised Western breeder

Profile: A breeding establishment registered with CITES, several documented generations, bloodlines identifiable by a Gulf buyer.

Role: Test the documentary requirements from the side of whoever has to produce them, and flag the ones that cost money without proving anything.

Why value is name-based on this market

At Gulf auctions, a bird is not sold on its measurements alone. It is sold on the breeder's name. A known bloodline, an establishment whose birds have already won, a practitioner whose signature circulates in the clubs: that is what separates the price of two comparable falcons. You are buying a name as much as an animal.

The consequence is direct for us. An anonymous advisory board, or one made up of generic profiles, adds strictly nothing on this market. What matters is that an identified person publicly agrees to put their name behind a method and its limits. That is a real commitment, with a real reputational cost, and it isn't obtained in exchange for a line on a page.

It is also why we will not announce "partnerships" with institutions that have signed nothing. Citing an institution as a documentary reference is one thing, it is public and verifiable. Letting people believe it endorses us is another.

Four seats, a written mandate, no compensation tied to volume

If you match one of the four profiles, write to us stating your background, the export or import cases you have actually handled, and what, in the method published on this site, looks wrong or insufficient to you. That last part counts as much as the first two.

The mandate will be in writing: scope of the opinion, term, conditions for stepping down, and our commitment to publish disagreements rather than smooth them over.

Temporary contact addressThe service is not yet open to the public. The final contact address and the publisher's details will be confirmed on the legal notice page at launch. View the legal notice.
