How we verify

SaqrBridge is not a seller, a buyer, an agent, a custodian, a carrier, or legal counsel. It's a technical third party that connects the parties, structures the file, arranges checks carried out by qualified third parties, and keeps a record of who declared what, and when.

Three design rules

They're not decoration. They decide what the product can do and what it refuses to do.

R1

No step moves forward without a signature from someone other than us

The seller declares that they hold the bird and its permits. The buyer declares that they hold an import permit. The freight forwarder declares the route. The vet signs their exam. The firm signs its opinion under its own name. SaqrBridge records, timestamps, displays, and flags. It never validates in place of the party who carries legal liability for that step.

R2

Every claim shown carries its source, its date, its scope, and its limit

A claim with no source and no date is worthless the day it's challenged. Every rule, every price, every check shown on this site states where it comes from, when it was checked, what it covers, and what it doesn't.

R3

Consent is granular and replayed at every step

Accepting the terms and conditions once, at sign-up, protects nobody. Every binding act triggers its own text, shown at that moment, in an identified version, with a checkbox that is never pre-ticked.

What we say, what we will never say

The sentence the platform can say

"This document exists, it's legible, it hasn't expired, it's consistent with the rest of the file, and it was confirmed on such a date by such an authority or such a firm."

Every part of that sentence maps to a dated check, attributed to someone, and viewable in the file.

The one it never says

"This transaction is safe." "This seller is trustworthy." "This bird was born in captivity."

These three claims describe facts that no document check can establish. Saying them would mean selling a guarantee we cannot back.

The four verification layers

Each one has a written scope, a written limit, a signer, and a party who is liable. None of that liability sits with SaqrBridge.

LayerProvesDoesn't proveSigned byLiable party
Layer 0
Identity and existence (KYC and KYB)
The organization exists, its principal is identified, and, where relevant, its establishment is registered with CITES.That this seller actually holds the bird they're listing. The declarant, plus an identity verification provider. The declarant.
Layer 1
Automated (OCR and rules)
The document is legible, complete, not expired, consistent with the rest of the file, and its number exists in the public CITES registry. The document's authenticity. A well-made forgery passes layer 1.The system, countersigned by the person who submitted it.The submitting party.
Layer 2
Administrative firm
The document was confirmed with the issuing authority, or by an authorized human reviewer. The legal soundness of the whole arrangement. The firm, under its own name. The firm.
Layer 3
Law firm
The export and import arrangement complies with the law applicable on the date of the opinion. That the parties will actually carry it out correctly once the opinion is issued. The lawyer, under their own name, under their professional civil liability. The lawyer.
Layer 4
Parentage DNA
The declared parentage is genetically compatible with the declared parents. The place of birth. The DNA says "comes from these parents", it does not say "born in captivity".The laboratory. The laboratory.
How to read this tablePassing one layer doesn't substitute for the next. A file that clears layer 1 has legible papers that are internally consistent, nothing more. Moving up a layer costs money and time, and whether that's worth it depends on the value of the transaction. Read what we don't verify.

Layers 2 and 3: the opinion is delivered to the client, not to the platform

This is the single most structural point in the whole method, and it decides what happens the day an opinion gets challenged.

When an administrative firm confirms a document, or when a law firm delivers an opinion on an export and import arrangement, the service is rendered to the client. SaqrBridge arranges the order, forwards the file, and bills for the service. It is not the author of that opinion, and never claims it as its own.

The deliverable carries the firm's letterhead

The document handed over is the firm's own, signed by the firm. It's never rewritten, summarized, or republished under the SaqrBridge brand. The platform just archives it and timestamps it.

The firm's name is shown before payment

The order screen states which firm will act, on exactly what scope, and the nature of its liability. Nobody pays for a check without knowing who's carrying it out.

The price visibly separates the two shares

The share going to the platform and the share going to the firm appear separately. Blending them would suggest SaqrBridge itself sells legal opinions, which it does not and cannot do.

Limitation of liability

CapSaqrBridge's liability is capped at the amount of fees actually collected on the file in question.
What this meansThe platform answers for its own service: keeping the documents, timestamping them, routing them to the right third party, and displaying scopes and limits accurately. It is not answerable for the sale contract's execution, for the parties' declarations, or for opinions issued by firms under their own name.
Draft textsThe liability clauses, the terms and conditions, and the nine consent texts published on this site are draft versions. They need to be reviewed by a lawyer before the service goes live for real. We would rather say so than let anyone assume otherwise.
