Request access

This page first explains what we will ask you, what we do with it, and how long it takes. The form comes after. Registering here does not open an account: it files a request, which a person reads.

What happens after you submit

Four steps, in this order, with no exceptions and no priority queue.

Step 1Submit the request

You create your login and declare your organisation. You get access to your space right away, marked "pending review".

Step 2Submit your documents

From your space, you declare the documents required for your profile, with their references and dates. The review clock starts only once this is done.

Step 3Human review5 business days announced

Someone on our team reads the file, checks that the organisation exists in the register of the declared country, and may write to ask for an additional document. This period runs from the complete submission, not from account creation.

Step 4A reasoned decision

Approval, a request for more information, or refusal. Either way, the reason is written into your space and timestamped in the log. A refusal isn't final: you can fix the point raised and resubmit the file.

What the review checks, and what it doesn'tThe review covers whether the organisation exists, whether the declared documents are consistent, and whether the authorisations required by the country of establishment are present. It doesn't establish that a document is physically authentic, nor solvency, nor anyone's good faith. Read what we don't check.

ReasonWhat triggers it

Documents illegible, expired, or inconsistent with each otherAn expiry date already passed, a name that changes from one document to the next, a truncated file.
Missing authorisation required by the country of establishmentCapacity certificate, transport licence, or professional registration, depending on the declared profile.
Appendix I activity with no registered breeding establishmentThe declared activity concerns Appendix I, with no establishment reference registered with CITES.
Documented history of trafficking or an active sanctionA decision published by an authority, or a sanction currently in force in a country party to the Convention.
Refusal to identify the person in chargeNo file is reviewed for an organisation nobody will answer for.

What you can access before approval

Open as soon as you register

  • All public content: pricing index, export compliance, calendar, knowledge center, directory, published requests.
  • Your space, your organisation's profile, and updating it.
  • Submitting your own documents and the log of your signed attestations.

Closed until the account is approved

  • Publishing a listing or a Saqr ID.
  • Responding to a purchase request, or publishing one.
  • Opening a transaction file, or being added to one as a party.
  • Appearing in the public directory.

Nothing is shown greyed out without an explanation: every closed feature states the exact condition that opens it.

The organisation

The CITES establishment reference is optional here, but it's required for any listing involving an Appendix I specimen. Without it, your account can be used for Appendix II and for equipment, not beyond.

The button stays inactive until the box is checked. It's never checked by default.
